Charles P. Baker III, who died at 101, co-founded Baker Industries with his wife Louise in 1980 after their son struggled to find suitable work. What began as a two-person garage business grew into a workforce development nonprofit that has hired, trained and mentored more than 12,500 people who faced barriers to employment.
