​Could a single pill prevent thousands of heart attacks and strokes? Experts call for NHS overhaul

More than seven million people in the UK struggle with cardiovascular disease. UCL academics suggest that offering a polypill combining a statin and three blood pressure drugs to everyone over 50 could prevent thousands of heart attacks and strokes. This strategy could be more effective and simpler than the current NHS Health Check programme.
