Gurindervir Singh exited the Commonwealth Games 100m event after failing to qualify. He finished twenty-eighth overall with a time of 10.39 seconds in his heat. This performance was significantly below his personal best national record of 10.09 seconds. He had arrived with hopes of breaking the ten-second barrier internationally. Ghana’s Benjamin Azamati and Abdul-Rasheed Saminu emerged as fastest qualifiers.
