Delhi’s Karkardooma court on Tuesday granted Sharjeel Imam seven days’ interim bail from October 4 to 10 to attend the marriages of his two cousins in Delhi and Bihar. The court imposed conditions including a Rs 50,000 bail bond and a direction not to contact witnesses, use social media or meet anyone other than family members. Imam is an accused in the UAPA case linked to the alleged larger conspiracy behind the 2020 Delhi riots, with his regular bail plea pending before the Delhi high court.
