Ranbir Kapoor will portray Lord Rama in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film. This role echoes his great-grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor’s performance in the 1933 film ‘Seeta’. The earlier film achieved international recognition at the Venice International Film Festival. Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’ is planned as a two-part cinematic event. The first part is scheduled for a Diwali 2026 release.
