Former BJP MLA Suresh Rathore was arrested in Dehradun for allegedly naming a “VIP” in the Ankita Bhandari murder case via viral audio-video clips. Police invoked charges including extortion and IT Act violations. Rathore, who denied circulating the clips, was remanded to 14 days judicial custody.
