Expired food articles were seized during inspections at Bengaluru paying guest accommodations. Notices were issued to twenty-three paying guest accommodations for hygiene and food safety violations. Twelve food samples were collected for laboratory analysis to check quality compliance. Bed bugs powder was found on a dining table at one paying guest accommodation. The department warned of legal action for any future food safety regulation violations.
