Fourteen students and activists were detained while attempting to travel from Pune to Delhi by train. They aimed to participate in a national protest demanding electoral reforms and the resignation of CEC Gyanesh Kumar. After a habeas corpus petition was filed, a court ordered their release but they chose to protest in Pune instead.
