The Department of Science and Technology has launched the VAIBHAV Fellowship to foster collaboration between top Indian-origin scientists abroad and Indian research institutions. Selected fellows will work in India up to two months annually for three years, with a Rs 4,00,000 monthly grant. Notable participant Dr Prateek Sharma aims to improve early cancer detection using AI-augmented endoscopy.
