DMK campaigner ‘Dindigul’ Leoni was campaigning in Trichy when unidentified individuals on two-wheelers threw glass bottles at him. The incident, which narrowly missed Leoni, led to a case registered by Palakkarai police under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Leoni vowed to intensify his campaign despite the attack.
