Amidst soaring temperatures, the government has suspended Census fieldwork between 11 am and 3 pm to protect enumerators from heatstroke. District collectors are also urged to ensure officials’ safety following an assault incident. Over one lakh personnel are engaged in the ongoing Census, collecting data on housing and assets across 1.2 crore households.
