IIT Bombay students are demanding changes to the student welfare system and increased mental health support. These demands follow the recent suicide of a second-year BTech student on campus. The student’s family has filed a complaint against a professor, alleging discrimination and torture. The institute has removed the professor from his administrative post while investigations continue. Faculty members have since marched in support of the professor and his actions.
