India Meteorological Department forecasts heavy to very heavy rainfall across several states. Isolated extremely heavy rainfall is expected over Odisha and parts of the Northeast. This wet spell is anticipated to continue into the month of September. Several regions including Uttarakhand and East Uttar Pradesh will experience widespread rain. A low to moderate flash-flood risk has been identified in four specific states.
