Idaho’s innovative approach has seen nearly 300 tonnes of waste glass repurposed as road foundation material, addressing both engineering challenges and local waste management issues. The crushed glass cullet, strategically laid beneath a highway section, has proven to be an effective solution, showcasing the potential of recycling in constructing sustainable infrastructure.
