India supplies 70% of Russia’s record fuel imports as Ukrainian drones hit refineries

In August, India became Russia’s largest supplier of fuel amidst significant disruptions to Russia’s domestic production caused by drone attacks from Ukraine. Remarkably, India accounted for seventy percent of the fuel imported by Russia during this period. Concurrently, Russia’s oil product exports faced a notable slump, while China maintained its position as Russia’s primary customer for fossil fuels.
