Jack Roney, a former NC State swimmer and assistant coach, died at 39 on July 5 after a pool accident. A newly reported autopsy account says he had been doing underwater breathing exercises before he was found unresponsive. His wife Maresa called 911 and started CPR. Roney leaves behind five children and a lasting connection to NC State swimming.
