Bhim Mahabahadur Jora, the prime suspect in the murder of Dr. Yogesh Chandra Paul, was killed in a police encounter. Jora, who had a history of multiple criminal cases, allegedly opened fire on the joint police team. The encounter resulted in Jora sustaining fatal injuries, and stolen valuables were recovered.
