Maharashtra water crisis: 10% water cut from October 16 as state prepares for drought-like conditions

The Maharashtra government plans to implement a minimum 10% water cut in all local bodies starting October 16. This measure addresses the challenges posed by a deficient monsoon and potential drought conditions. Local bodies have been instructed to prioritize drinking water and prevent leakage. Industries are required to recycle at least 30% of their water usage. Special efforts will be made to curb unauthorized water extraction from various sources.
