Kamal Haasan extended his congratulations to filmmaker Rajkumar Periasamy after winning the Best Director award. The award was given for the Tamil film ‘Amaran’, featuring actors Siva Karthikeyan and Sai Pallavi. Veteran actor Mammootty also returned with his fourth National Film Award for Best Actor from Gujarat. He expressed happiness for the recognition and dedicated it to Malayalam cinema.
