Mizoram’s Lawngtlai and Siaha districts have sealed their Myanmar border following a deadly gastroenteritis outbreak. Nine people have died, with four villages declared containment zones. Medical teams are on the ground, and water samples are being tested. The outbreak appears to have spread from Myanmar’s Chin state, where hundreds are also reportedly ill.
