Ganesh Chukkal, a leader in the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, was arrested in Powai for cheating and forgery. He allegedly forged the signature of Alka Bhatia Hiranandani, resulting in a fabricated lease agreement for a flat. The flat lease was originally for 36 months but altered to 30 years with falsified documents. Chukkal’s company had defaulted on rent payments, leading to the termination of the lease.
