National Unity Day is observed on 31 October to commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary. This year marks the 151st anniversary of Patel’s contributions to India’s unification post-independence. Events are organized across the country including a grand parade and Unity Pledge by various organizations. Many educational institutions host activities such as essay writing competitions and quizzes to engage students.
