An AI-powered forecasting system, XGBoost, has been launched to help fishers locate hilsa shoals in the Bay of Bengal. Developed by INCOIS, the system analyzes environmental data to predict fish-rich zones, aiming to boost catches. However, concerns about sustainability and potential overfishing have been raised by some fishing communities.
