New York man challenges bank over 2005 mortgage, wins appeal in foreclosure dispute

A New York homeowner who took out a mortgage in 2005 has secured a reversal of a foreclosure ruling that had favoured US Bank National Association. Moses Sukljian challenged the bank’s right to enforce the loan after it accused him of missing payments. On Friday, an appeals court overturned the earlier ruling, finding that the bank had failed to provide sufficient proof of its legal standing.
