Shubman Gill took over as Gujarat Titans captain after Hardik Pandya left the franchise. He led the team to the IPL final in 2026, after Pandya and Nehra had guided GT to the title in their first season in 2022 and another final in 2023. Nehra said Gill and Pandya are very different personalities and leaders, but both have the ability to keep learning.
