Oman becomes member of UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere Council, advancing global conservation efforts

Oman has been elected to UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere (MAB) Programme Council for 2025–2029, reflecting its leadership in environmental sustainability. Represented by the Environment Authority, the Sultanate aims to advance biodiversity conservation, expand protected areas, and foster scientific research. This achievement reinforces Oman’s global role in balancing development with ecological preservation, aligned with Oman Vision 2040 and UN Sustainable Development Goals.
