Omar Abdullah questions NEET, JEE; says national exams eroded states’ rights

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah advocated for enhanced federalism in India. He urged the central government to return examination and admission control to states. National-level tests like NEET and JEE have diminished state autonomy, he argued. Abdullah also paid tribute to Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah and recalled the 1947 tribal invasion. He stressed the vital roles of government, opposition, and media in democracy.
