Rajasthan High Court has taken suo motu cognisance of poor government school infrastructure. Notices were issued to the Centre and Rajasthan government regarding these systemic deficiencies. The court expressed concern over the continued sale of junk food in schools. It ordered mid-day meals to comply with balanced diet guidelines. Authorities must now ensure unhealthy foods are not sold in any school.
