The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption launched simultaneous searches at 25 locations across Tamil Nadu. These searches included the residence of former DMK minister KN Nehru in Trichy. The investigations pertain to a cash-for-jobs scam involving government job recruitment irregularities. Nehru was present while the searches commenced at his residence, as supporters gathered outside. This marks the second round of searches by DVAC in this ongoing investigation.
