The Russo brothers are directing “Avengers: Doomsday” and its follow-up “Avengers: Secret Wars”. They previously helmed “Arrested Development” and “Community” before their Marvel epics. “Doomsday” aims to reinvigorate the Marvel Cinematic Universe after recent box office challenges. Robert Downey Jr. returns as the villain Doctor Doom in the upcoming film. The directors are drawing inspiration from Western films for their new projects.
