Scientists documented a rare Arctic bobtail squid guarding its eggs in Northeast Greenland. This marks the first confirmed in situ record of Rossia moelleri in its natural habitat. The observation occurred in the world’s largest national park, a remote Arctic fjord. This finding fills a gap in understanding Arctic cephalopods and their reproduction. It provides a baseline for tracking marine life in a rapidly warming Arctic region.
