Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde has suspended Palghar city chief Rahul Gharat. This action follows an alleged assault on a hospital employee by party workers. The incident occurred at Relief Hospital over patient treatment concerns on Saturday night. Police registered a case against seventeen individuals, including the district chief. Shinde stated that such violent acts against healthcare workers will not be tolerated.
