Hamilton High School graduate and football player Khadyn Perkins died by suicide on July 21 after jumping from a cliff in San Pedro, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. In response, coach Elijah Asante shared a powerful message, telling young athletes they are more important than football and encouraging them to seek help during difficult times.
