Dharmendra Kumar Kashyap recently joined the Samajwadi Party after not being nominated for the Rajya Sabha. Akhilesh Yadav welcomed Kashyap, claiming his arrival would strengthen the party. Kashyap criticized the current BJP government for the poor law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh. He expressed dissatisfaction with the chief minister’s actions targeting the poor rather than his caste. The Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections are scheduled for early next year.
