Facing pressure from various groups, the Telangana government cancelled its plan to auction 400 acres at Kancha Gachibowli. Instead, it aims to convert 2,000 acres, including land occupied by the University of Hyderabad, into a large eco park. The university’s relocation to a new ‘Future City’ is also planned.
