A tragic altercation occurred when Isakkiyappan confronted panchayat president Maharajan over a pressing issue of inadequate water supply. The disagreement intensified, leading Isakkiyappan to allegedly hit Maharajan with a brick. Unfortunately, Maharajan suffered critical injuries and succumbed to them while en route to the hospital. Authorities have since detained Isakkiyappan in relation to this deadly confrontation.
