Donald Trump announced Sergio Gor, the current director of the White House Presidential personnel office, as the next US ambassador to India and Special Envoy for South and Central Asian Affairs. Trump praised Gor as a trusted friend and someone capable of delivering on his agenda. Gor’s confirmation by the Senate is pending, after which he will succeed Eric Garcetti.
