Two young scientists bought 116 acres in 1997; 25 years later, they protected it for wildlife

In 1997, young scientists Laura Bonk and Phil Trowbridge bought 116 acres beside New Hampshire’s Bear Brook State Park. About 25 years later, they placed the entire Derevya Farms property under a permanent conservation easement while retaining ownership, protecting its forests, wetlands, waterways and wildlife habitat.
