Baldev Singh will receive the Padma Shri from Droupadi Murmu for his outstanding contribution to Indian hockey. The veteran coach transformed Shahabad Markanda into a major hockey talent hub, mentoring over 80 international players and eight Indian captains. He also coached India’s men’s team and guided them to the 2004 Asia Cup title.
