Western Railway bets on a ‘smart timetable’ to tackle Borivali congestion

Western Railway will implement a smart timetable to manage Borivali station congestion. The railway will retain 1,414 daily services, adjusting train paths and halts. Some peak hour trains will skip Borivali to improve punctuality and connectivity. Six new services will replace low-demand ones, and AC train frequency will increase. These changes aim to enhance passenger movement and reduce delays across the network.
