Oregon dancer Emily Awbrey, featured in Netflix’s “America’s Sweethearts” season 3, was cut from Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders training camp in 2025 despite praise from director Kelli Finglass. After teaching at her family’s dance studio and months of focused practice, Awbrey re-auditioned in 2026 and earned a spot among 14 rookie candidates heading into the next DCC training camp.
