The wife of senior IPS officer Sunil Achaya, Sandhya, was tragically trampled to death by a tusker in Konanakatte, Kodagu district. She was inspecting a coffee plantation with two labourers when the attack occurred. Despite being rushed to a hospital in Gonikoppal, she succumbed to her injuries.
