The Supreme Court has ordered the Railways to provide insurance for all counter tickets effective October 27. This decision brings counter tickets in line with online ticket purchases, which already include insurance coverage. The court held the Railway Board accountable for not implementing required safety measures and expressed dissatisfaction with existing progress. It further noted significant shortfalls in fencing railway tracks and its ineffective utilization of budget allocations.
